Regardless of whether your wellsite is in an urban, suburban, or rural area, how do you mitigate unwanted access? Watch as our President, Brian Chastain, offers suggestions for keeping your sites secure and safe.

Hi, I’m Brian Chastain, here with the latest from our video series, Project Dynamix!

Regardless of whether your wellsite is in an urban, suburban, or rural area, how do you mitigate unwanted access?

One of the things that’s constant, regardless of location, is the importance of protecting your facilities from third party damage or accidents, because you WILL be held liable if someone gets injured at your wellsite.

So how do you prevent this? Beyond installing locking values, common ways are to have proper signage, gate your roads, and make sure they’re locked. You can also fence the well, put jersey barriers or large concrete barriers around the well, to prevent being struck.

Take into consideration the security of any tanks, separators, or equipment on your site too. Protect it so people can’t climb on it and fall off or in it.

This is something that your operations team need to assess on a continuous basis.

Is site access properly restricted and is equipment kept in safe operating condition for the protection of the public.

We can provide a fresh set of eyes to review your security.
